News: Sad car news and exciting gallery news

I had a sad day last week, my car failed its MOT and it turned out that it would cost a lot more than it's worth to fix. It was getting on a bit to be fair, but it had been driving so well that I was totally not expecting it. I had that car for just over 5 years, I didn't ever love it quite like I did my first car, but as the saying goes, you don't know what you got til it's gone :( It is the worst timing (as things with cars often are) with it being wedding season as I now have to hunt for a car on top of the work load. I am pretty lucky though as my parents were about to get rid of their old car and so they have kept it on for a while longer so that I can use that for a few weeks until I find something new. I feel quite sad about it though, it's just sat there in the drive looking all shiney and like there is nothing wrong with it, such a shame.

Now some good news! I have just installed a new gallery system which has a shopping cart. This means that when people are looking at their images they can easily add images to their cart and pay for them with all major credit cards if they wish (cheques are still accepted). It should make the ordering process a lot easier, I'm quite excited about it (not really sure what that says about me though!).

I hope everyone is enjoying the... er... summer!?!

Angy and Mills Wedding Photos from Near Malvern in Worcestershire

I've finally got a chance to do a full blog post on Mills and Angy's wedding, I've been itching to do this but I've been pretty busy! This was the first wedding that I have had a second photographer with me, I had Eliza Claire photograph people arriving at the Church while I was with Mills getting ready through to the speeches with me. I loved photograhing this wedding so on with the photos!

The marquee that the reception was to be held in was in Mills parents garden where Mills was getting ready so I got to take a few photos of the gorgeous flowers (arranged by Mill's mother) and some of the details.

One of their friends (and one of Angy's twelve ushers) is a chef and made their wedding cake, it's beautiful, and was very delicate! We were jumping around it to make sure it wouldn't topple over when the people arrived later that day.

Some of the bridesmaid, flower girl and page boy getting ready (mostly) :)

loving the details as usual!

I love these next photos so much, tonally it just works for me!

Meanwhile, Liz was at the Church photographing some of the guests at the pub! This is the only Church in the country to have a pub in its grounds apparently, it's in the village of Claines in Worcestershire for anyone that wants to know :D

On to Mill's arrival at the church in an old Ferrari!

The photo on the left here was taken by Liz and the one on the right by me, it's at times like this where it's cool to have a second photographer as I like to stay in the same place during a ceremony as it's very important to me that I do not disturb or detract, so here you get the best of both worlds.

The happiness :)!

I love this moment, the second they got out of the Church they each hugged their best friend!

Got to have an arch way photo don't you!

And while we did a few group photos outside the church, the ushers handed icecream around, I'd like to be kept busy with this if I was them!

Angy with some of his many ushers

There were many many people waiting ready with the confetti and to send Angy and Mills on their way!

I love the photo on the right as it shows just how much confetti fell off Mills as she stepped into the car!

The car had a mysterious colourful piece of material over the top, it looks like they were planning on leaving for their honeymoon there and then, however what we didn't know (nor did they) was that there were lots of balloons under there ready to be released!

The kids were still playing after Angy and Mills had left

Meanwhile, Liz went straight onto the reception before me (and everyone) to catch everyone arriving, in the rain, boy did it rain!!

Everyone had to stay inside which was such a shame as the place looked so lovely, Liz got this shot of everyone, that's over 200 people in there!

some of the yummy looking canapes, both mine and Liz's handy work

We did a few formals as everyone sat down

I'll leave you now with a few from the speeches, which were all fantastic! -The photos say it all :D

Angy and Mills Wedding Sneak Preview - Worcestershire Wedding

You may remember Angy and Mills from their engagement photos I posts a few weeks ago, well it was their wedding yesterday. I wanted to post just a few to give a taster, I'll blog the whole thing later in the week so check back!

How insanely beautiful is Mills?!

I've been a bit spoilt recently as I have been allowed to photograph the actual signings of most of my weddings this year which I prefer, however it was back to normal with this one and so I had to do some mock ups, I caught this though just before which I thought was more fun!

I LOVED photographing your wedding day Angy and Mills! I hope you have a fantastic honeymoon (wherever it is you are going ;) ) See you when you get back!

Simon and Amy's Wedding Photographs at Grim's Dyke Hotel Full Post

So here it is, the full post for Amy and Simon's wedding from Grim's Dyke Hotel in Harrow Weald, London. I'm really excited about posting this and I perhaps got a bit carried away with the numbers, but here goes:

Amy's dress was gorgeous, look at those layers, it's enough to get most girls excited!

The final preparations with the girls at Amy's parents home in Wembley, London.

I love the look on Amy's mum's face, she is so proud of her daughter and loved seeing her looks so beautiful.

All the girls were so beautiful, I LOVE the colour of their dresses. The sun was so hot and strong at this point.

Amy's sister (and maid of honour) Victoria on arrival clutching her flowers and a massive pot of congetti, her smile is as gorgeous as her sisters.

This is the little flower girl, I'm so pleased I got this photo as she was a bit overwhelmed by the day, but you'd never know from this. Look how cute her little brother is looking up at her :)

All the guys waiting for the time to go in. Simon on the left, his best man Rob on the right and his usher Sven in the middle.

The colours of these dresses just sing in the sunlight, Amy arriving in their friend Mark's car, stunning.

The ceremony. The wedding itself took place at St. Sebastian and St. Pancras Church in Kingsbury Green, London.

I love this one of them laughing at getting the ring stuck, it happens to a lot of people :)

I love this also, they did not stop grinning at each other, I love the contrast of the happiness in their faces next to the seriousness of Father David.

Back outside and into that fantastic car!

Then onto Grim's Dyke Hotel in Harrow Weald, London. I seriously feel thirsty when I look at this photo.

Look how cute this little guys is, roaming the gardens, everyone else enjoying their pimms in the hotels grounds.

This is Grim's Dyke Hotel itself, a really stunning building.

All the wonderful guests attending Amy and Simon's wedding.

We then went for a walk around the amazing grounds of the hotel, there are so many little areas, it would be a dream for kids to play in!

These are some of my favourites, I love the massive trees.

Sabrage, Simon took the top of the Champayne off in one clean sweep.

Then in for the meal, Yum! Wish I got to eat some of that :)

It was beautiful sunshine up until now, then all of a sudden it clouded over at quite high speed and we then had some of the heaviest rain I have ever seen and it did not stop for over an hour and then continued although less heavy for the rest of the evening. It was quite a sight, in this photo you can see the outside looks a bit grey, that is the sheer amount of water pouring down. I was a little gutted as I really wanted to take some more photos in the grounds as I thought with all that sun we would probably get a good sunset. It did however cool everything right down which was definitly needed. We also had some pretty heavy thunder which set off the fire alarms!

This is inside the music room at Grim's Dyke Hotel, the room where they ate and where the evening party was held, a gorgeous room with a stunning ceiling.

A few from the speeches, I do love listening to the speeches and learning a little about the couple from everyone that speaks. Everyone gave good speeches.

Rob, the best man, had photos of Simon as a child printed up which were on every persons place for all to see :)

The little flower girl is ready for the evening to start, so on to the first dance!

Later in the evening Simon's band played which consisted of Simon, Rob and Sven along with two other friends, they've only been playing their instruments a couple of years I think they said, so it was quite impressive. My favourite was their cover of Girl's Aloud 'Love Machine' brilliant!
